Alexander Tarnavsky took part in the 49th Congress of the Bulgarian Socialist Party 10 мая 2016 Alexander Tarnavsky, first deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Budget and Taxes visited the city of Sofia 7-9 May upon the invitation of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) for participation in its 49th Congress. At the beginning of the Congress, Alexander Tarnavsky, as a representative of Party A JUST RUSSIA, was given an opportunity to make a welcome address to the Congress delegates and guests. The parliamentarian emphasized that "the peoples of Bulgaria and Russia are linked by their common history, deep spirituality and culture as well as by their common duty to preserve all this in the memory and hearts of the future generations of the Russian and Bulgarian people." On 9 May, Alexander Tarnavsky together with RF Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russia Federation to the Republic of Bulgaria Yuriy Isakov, the BSP leader elected by the Congress Kornelia Ninova and numerous representatives of the Bulgarian society and the Society for Bulgarian-Russian Friendship took part in the "Immortal Regiment" march and laying flowers in front of the monument to the Soviet Soldier, the Winner.
