The Forum entitled "Crisis in Europe: call for a new dialogue" is devoted to the 40th anniversary of the signing of the 1975 Helsinki Final Act within the OSCE framework. The Conference is organized by the Alliance of Socialists and Democrats at the European Parliament. Russia is represented in Brussels by Alexey Pushkov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Foreign Affairs; Mikhail Fedotov, Chairman of the RF Presidential Council for Civil Society Development and Human Rights; Andrey Kelin, Head of the RF MOA Department of European Cooperation; Andrei Gromyko, Director of the Institute of Europe (RAS); Vladimir Chizhov, Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the European Union. Alexander Romanovich stressed that the current dialogue at the European Parliament is highly significant in the light of the results of the G-20 meeting in Turkey and the French President’s forthcoming visits to Moscow and Washington. In his opinion, Russia and the European Union should proceed from an objective need for comprehensive cooperation because they are united by their continental neighborhood in Europe. As Alexander Romanovich emphasized, it is not by chance that the conference organizers point out that "global security and the fight against terrorism are among the areas that need a coordinated strategy with participation of the EU, Russia and the other European countries". The conference participants intend to adopt a declaration calling the RF and the EU for renewal of their relationship. As the first step, they offer to remove all the parliamentarians from the EU "black list" and the RF MFA visa stop list. The draft resolution also contains a proposal to hold a new summit under the auspices of OSCE, in the Helsinki format, next year, with participation of thirty-three states. The summit objective is rethinking of the relations of security and cooperation in Europe.
