Sergei Mironov to General secretary of Socialist International Luis Ayala 27 ноября 2015 LUIS AYALA Dear Luis, I am truly happy to have an opportunity to contact with you again. On this occasion, I would like to inform you that human rights organization A JUST PROTECTION, which our party has been in close cooperation with, collected numerous factual documentary materials confirming torture and abuse of citizens of Ukraine as well as gross violation of their human rights and freedoms committed not only by the Ukrainian official military and law enforcement agencies but also by military punitive formations financed by well-known Ukrainian oligarchs. The materials prepared on the ground of actual facts, first-hand testimonies and surveys made among victims formed the basis for the report of human rights organization A JUST PROTECTION entitled "Ukraine. Torture and Crimes Against Humanity" which I would like to offer to your attention. The Socialist International has always stood firmly and consistently for protection of democratic principles and freedoms of citizens throughout the world. The current crisis in Ukraine cannot leave us cold and indifferent to the fates of hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian civilians, the majority of which are peaceful civilians. Being aware of extreme danger of the potential consequences, we think it inadmissible to ignore the facts and testimonies of crimes against humanity documented in the above mentioned survey of the human rights organization. I believe it might be possible to make this document known to the participants of a regular Council of the Socialist International to be held in Angola, 26-28 November this year. Dear Luis, I hope for your support and ask for your assistance for the members of the Party A JUST RUSSIA delegation in distribution of our survey "Ukraine. Torture and Crimes Against Humanity" at the forthcoming Council of the Socialist International. Fraternally yours,
