Sergei Mironov: to fight terrorism, we must join our efforts 29 июня 2015 Sergei Mironov, Chairman of Party A JUDT RUSSIA, the leader of the State Duma party faction spoke out about the necessity to join efforts in combating terrorism and fascism in modern world: Acts of terrorism in Tunisia and Kuwait, ISIS atrocities, the plans of terrorists to commit murders in various countries of the world – these are the latest proofs of a new wave of violence and criminality which has no compassion, nationality and borders. What must reasonable people do in such a situation? Of course, they have to join their efforts against terrorism, work out joint measures for fighting against a horrible evil that has migrated with confidence from the XXth century into the XXIst one. At various times has our country experienced the tragedies that claimed lives of hundreds of people. We know what terrorism may be fraught with when it does not receive a severe repulse. We are ready to unite our efforts with all countries, all people of good will to resist the new horrible threat. Don’t they who call Russia an aggressor and close their eyes to the Fascism rising in Ukraine or encourage it, fail to really understand it? If they do, are they able to realize that they are supporters of criminals? Both fascists and terrorists are equally dangerous for mankind. They can’t be either forgiven or forgotten – they can only be cut off and annihilated! You cannot put your ambitions first, beyond common sense. While the EU and the USA ecstatically condemn Russia for "its aggression in Ukraine and Crimea", terrorists shot hundreds of people without any trial. At present, the most ambitious politicians should simply come to senses and realize the threat each state will have to separately face if we do not join our efforts in fighting against terrorism. We must do it not for the sake of here-and-now political expediency but for the sake of our future!
