Nikolai Levichev: Government’s anti-crisis plan is "robbing Peter to pay Paul" 30 января 2015 Nikolai Levichev, Vice-Chairman of the State Duma made comments on the speech of Igor Shuvalov, first deputy Chairman of the RF Government at the lower chamber of the parliament: Igor Shuvalov’s speech at the State Duma convinced us about the Government’s ability to survive in the crisis but failed to assure us that the nation would be able to do it. Everything seems to be smooth, sounds perfectly but it is just good intentions and nothing more. Moreover, we, the A JUST RUSSIA party deputies were expecting to hear the proposals of quite a different kind. The whole plan is actually nothing but scattered immediate initiatives, "robbing Peter to pay Paul" without a strategic vision of diversification of economics and the project of economic growth. But it is not surprising. The sun is rather to set in the east than the Government will change its political course. It seems to me, that it is impossible to wait for any exit from the crisis situation without changing the ministers of the financial-and-economic block.
