Sergey Mironov: "Ukraine hostile to Russia is a geopolitical task for the USA 13 октября 2014 Chairman of Party A JUST RUSSIA and the Leader of the State Duma party faction Sergey Mironov took part in the Special Correspondent program of TV Channel Russia-1. The main events in Ukraine were the main subject of discussion. In his speech Sergey Mironov stressed that the conflict in this country was provoked not by reunification of the Crimea with Russian but by a constant incitement of ethnic hatred from outside. "The main reason is who now actually controls the reins of political power in Kiev. Real control belongs to the United States for whom Ukraine hostile to Russia is a remarkable geopolitical target," said the politician. If we have a look at the statistics received from Ukraine half a year ago, we’ll see that about 99% of its population was hostile to Russia. At present, the statistics has changed – 50%. According to the parliamentarian, a positive dynamics in the development of relations between the two nations must continue but it’s necessary to conduct an independent investigation of the crimes committed in Ukraine. "The State Duma passed a special address to all international parliamentary organizations and the United Nations, to all world parliamentarians with the demand of setting up an international commission on investigation of the crimes against humanity in Ukraine," said Mr. Mironov. In his opinion, there is a real genocide in the east of Ukraine, and it can’t be left unpunished. "It is necessary to bear responsibility for all that in compliance with the international law," specified Mr. Mironov. Discussing the results of the commission on investigation of the Malaysian Boeing crash, the A JUST PARTY Chairman said that if there had been even the faintest proof of Russia’s implication into the plane crash, it would have immediately become known for everybody. "All the world TV channels would have started making noise about it, but quite a different picture is starting to emerge there. That’s why they are telling us about the summer of 2015 as the final date so that to take Mr. Poroshenko and Ukraine away from responsibility," Sergey Mironov declared. The discussion also touched upon Mikhail Khodorkovsky who (as Mr. Mironov mentioned) promised in public not to be engaged in politics but who is still trying to provide some impact on it. "It’s necessary to remind Mr. Khodorkovsky that they teach people to keep their word in the places where he spent so much time," stressed the parliamentarian. "No matter what Mr. Khodorkovsky is saying about his personal plans, they will always be his personal plans. Khodorkovsky and Russia are not connected with each other."
