Sergey Mironov about entry into the EaEU of Armenia and Kirghizia 10 октября 2014 A meeting of the Highest Eurasian Economic Council at the level of the Heads of the States will take place in Minsk on October 10. It is planned to make a decision about membership of Armenia and Kirghizia in the Eurasian Economic Union at the meeting. Chairman of Party A JUST RUSSIA and the Head of the party State Duma faction Sergey Mironov commented the news. According to the parliamentarian, ‘this year is eventful in terms of foreign policy: Russia was either involved in some events or directly affected by some of them.’ Sergey Mironov remarked that they were both happy and negative events. In his opinion, there is no doubt that the process of Eurasian economic integration should be referred to the positive political results of 2014. "Who is dreaming of isolation of Russia? The Washington dreamers who once again got it wrong," the politician said. "Their Kiev protégés are sure to get it wrong too once they are stubbornly ignoring the need of Ukraine for strengthening its economic ties with Russia and the other states of the former USSR (which is obvious for any sensible person) but not for their demonstrative breaking off. I’m afraid the Kiev high standing office-dwellers may start to kick themselves with strengthening of the Eurasian Economic Union which Ukraine might have joined as well." Sergey Mironov also reminded of the Agreement on the Creation of the EaEU ratified recently by the State Duma. It is to come into force from January 01, 2015. "Just in half a month’s time after our ratification, the issue of expansion of our community was put on the agenda of a regular meeting of the Union leaders in Minsk. Armenia and Kyrgyzstan have such intentions. So the question still remains: who will eventually face isolation?" Mr. Mironov declared."
