Sergei Mironov about the possibility of a dialogue between Ukraine and Russia 12 июля 2014 Sergei Mironov, Chairman of Party A JUST RUSSIA and the head of the party State Duma faction declared the necessity of ceasing military operations and launching a constructive dialogue between Ukraine and Russia. The bloodshed in Ukraine has not stopped, and the civilians still perish. They who prefer to assert their freedom, their right to think, speak and act independently with arms in their hands have been dying. Talks about the necessity to cease urgently military operations and put an end to the bloodshed still remain nothing but talks. Hardheartedness has been strengthening, and now it is quite evident that only an open dialogue will help reverse the situation and find a resolution of the sharpest contradictions, the dialogue aimed at an open discussion of the accumulated problems, understanding of the partners, searching for a consensus in the interests of both Russia and Ukraine. The people engaged in the dialogue must be conscious of the level of their responsibility for the future of our countries. It is not only the leaders of political parties who must enter the dialogue but all the layers of the civil society, I mean experts and scientists, representatives of the public organizations and business, people of culture and art, and church representatives of both countries. To discuss all the long-standing issues, Russia and Ukraine are badly in need of an informal effective constructive base for the dialogue. I am ready to offer one, on the base of Party A JUST RUSSIA which is not a party of power although being a Russian parliamentarian party. It is this a form of communication that will allow us to hold a sincere talk about the mutual interests and problems, to determine step-by-step the strategy and tactics of the solution of our common problems and of the rapprochement between the two countries. This dialogue should be started now, today. I hope the representatives of both countries have something to say to each other. Let there be criticism, disagreement and a desire to demonstrate the truth of their position, but the main thing required for success of this dialogue is the desire to work for the benefit of our nations and search for the constructive steps required for the solution of the existing problems.
