A JUST RUSSIA continues humanitarian assistance work for the residents of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics 05 èþíÿ 2014 After the appeal of Sergei Mironov, Chairman of Party A JUST RUSSIA to take part in fundraising for the Donetsk and Lugansk republics, the party points for collection of humanitarian aid got to work in every region of Russia. Moreover, in compliance with the decision made by Sergei Mironov, the Party allocated over one million rubles for purchasing medicines and bandage materials for the wounded in Donetsk and Lugansk. We’d like to remind that on May 15 2014, Chairman of Party A JUST RUSSIA Sergei Mironov made an appeal to the party membership and its associates to take part in humanitarian charity act "A JUST RUSSIA FOR THE RESIDENTS OF THE DONETSK AND LUGANSK REPUBLICS." There was taken resolution ¹ 45P "On participation of the members of Political Party A JUST RUSSIA and its supporters in collection of humanitarian aid for the residents of the Donetsk and Lugansk Republics" and the decision of the Party Chairman "On allocation of funding to provide humanitarian aid for the residents of the Donetsk and Lugansk Republics." Medical and food products have already been shipped by two lorries in the course of the humanitarian aid provision. The initial shipment was 1,200 kilograms of the humanitarian aid collected at the request of the social institutions of the Lugansk republic, 500 kilograms – vital remedies. The second lorry that followed the first one also drove the aid required by the representatives of the Donetsk and Lugansk Republics. The third shipment of humanitarian aid is being consolidated. A separate direction of work carried out by Party A JUST RUSSIA within the framework of its humanitarian aid act is cooperation with international public organization Fair Aid headed by Elizaveta Glinka who is better known as Doctor Liza. The Fair Aid organization bought medicines, medical tools and baby food with the money allocated by Party A JUST RUSSIA (over one million rubles). For example, in Donetsk, medical materials were distributed between the departments of traumatology and pharmacology, and the emergency department of Central Municipal Clinical Hospital No 1. The medical tools and the suture material were sent to Slavyansk and Kramatorsk. Baby food has been bought for the childcare centers where children are starving, and where a number of requests has come from. The infant’s food was distributed between the institutions of Donetsk and the cities of the Ukrainian south-east.. In Donetsk, Doctor Liza visited Children’s Municipal Hospital No 5 where the abandoned children were transferred from the hospital located in the combat zone at the airport. The children were in a heavy state of neglect, and the hospital was not ready for their admission. Moreover, there was a desperate need for food. At present, there is a three-month food reserve there. The people who backed Sergei Mironov’s appeal are worried about the situation in the south-east of Ukraine, the fate of their relatives and all the other people living there. Many of them come and bring food products and medicines to the points of the humanitarian aid collection and the party offices. They even show their willingness to transfer some money (here you may find the address and the details for the transfer). The charity act of party A JUST RUSSIA has been supported by dozens of people: teachers, high school lecturers, labor veterans and ordinary citizens. The regional divisions of the party have opened the humanitarian aid collection points in the Republics of Adygeya, Bashkortostan, Karelia, Tatarstan and in the Krasnoyarsk and Perm Territories. Such points also function in the Moscow and Leningrad regions, in the regions of Bryansk, Vladimir, Vologda, Ivanovo, Kaliningrad, Kaluga, Kursk, Lipetsk, Murmansk, Novgorod, Omsk, Orenburg, Oryol, Penza, Pskov, Tver, Tyumen, Ulyanovsk, Yaroslavl as well as in the Jewish Autonomous Province and the Nenets Autonomous Area. It is necessary to pay tribute to the contribution made by the staff members of the Institute of Social and Economic Forecasting and Modelling, city of Balashiha, Moscow region and its rector Victor Deli who handed over a ton of humanitarian load, and an entrepreneur from the Moscow district of Krylatskoe who offered his office to be used for storage and many other people who did not want to be indifferent. The Central Office of the Party receives letters and proposals about the necessity to provide support to the Russian theatres, to develop a mechanism for an emergency evacuation of women and children away from the conflict zone. On June 04, the Duma faction of party A JUST RUSSIA initiated holding of an extended meeting in the State Duma, with participation of the representatives of public organizations and the government bodies of Russia devoted to the following: "On provision of humanitarian aid to the civilian population of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics" which was attended by the representatives of Donetsk and Lugansk, All-Russian Public Organization "Russian Union of Emergency Workers", Russian Emergency Ministry, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, public organizations and the Red Cross experts. The participants discussed the ways and methods of cooperation of the State structures in assistance provision to the Donetsk and Lugansk Republics. The A JUST RUSSIA work of collection of humanitarian aid for the people of the Donetsk and Lugansk Republics continues.
