Svetlana Goryacheva: "More and more states will not only look at Russia getting up off its knees but also aspire to it" 21 марта 2014 Svetlana Goryacheva made a five-minute statement on the topical social-economic, political and other issues on behalf of A JUST RUSSIA faction at a plenary meeting of the State Duma on March 21: Dear deputies and dear Sergei Evgenievich, 24 years ago (according to the will of fate) I had to witness a lot of tragic events being a people’s deputy and Vice-Chairman of the Supreme Soviet of Russia: treason of national interests committed by our elite, Parade of Sovereignties and the demolition of our Great Motherland, expulsion of the Russians from the former Soviet republics, impudent stripping of the national wealth and impoverishment of the majority of our population. At that time the USA and the West were applauding that separation and recognizing the independence of the Baltic and other republics with great haste. As for us, we were repeatedly asking the same painful question: if Russia will ever return to its historical path. The latest events, I mean the Referendum, the voluntary return of the Crimea to Russia and yesterday’s ratification of the reunification treaty are among the brightest moments in lives of plenty of people in Russia. We seem "to have grown wings" and become tenfold stronger than before, our hopes and confidence are back now. But why do we hear such vicious wail and threats of the West addressed Russia? Who are they, the judges of Russia now, I wonder? All of a sudden, the leaders of the USA and Europe tainted with blood of the people murdered and tortured to death in Yugoslavia, Iraq, Syria, Libya and in other countries have put on the peacemaker’s togas. Once Abraham Lincoln said: "You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time". Obama and his predecessors seem to have studied their own history very badly. Otherwise, how can be explained the fact that while it was expatiating on democracy and human rights, the West more and more unceremoniously implanted the new menacing unipolar World Order where international law is substituted by "the law of fist" and by privilege of the strong to spread lawlessness. The information wars stained with lie and manipulation, the new ways for extermination of states and peoples via the coups and civil bloodsheds are the signs of the New World Order. On top of all, the western states have lined up at "the American pedestal" as the satellites who forgot about their own pride and personality, and who are in haste not only to justify aggression but also to participate in it The other countries are watching these horrors, and their souls are full of perturbation while their thoughts are – Who is the next victim? It seemed to be high time for the fear, Russophobia and nationalism planted by the West to bear fruit as well as its attempts of playing off one nation against another but all of a sudden, all this resulted in embarrassment: the attempts of the West to separate nations and plant hostility among them flopped because of a unanimous decision to join Russia made by the peoples of the Crimea. And now, following the Crimean people, our brothers from Pridnestrovie are crying out for joining Russia; the east of Ukraine is chanting "Russia, help us". What if the Russian people oppressed in Baltic will ask for the same? There is a well-known truth that when the weak unite, they gather strength, and when the strong unite, they become unbeatable. There is no doubt that in the nearest future more and more States will not only look with hope at Russia getting up off its knees but also aspire to it. Moreover, if the G-20 countries reach an agreement about a mutual economic and military support, an inflated unipolar American bubble is sure to blow out. Now the last: at present, there are no indifferent people in Russia. Each Russian citizen is concerned, glad, worried and full of hopes, but there is still one man who is in a much more complicated situation and whose burden of responsibility is a hundred times heavier than ours. The presidents and Mass Media of the other countries blackmail him, threaten with punishment and imposing of sanctions. I think some groups even inside Russia are also making pressure on him. But he, our President, unlike the others does not have any right for emotions, miscounts and mistakes. As a captain, he must navigate the ship through the shelves, and we can see how he is doing it with honor, nobility and wisdom.. People have been calling us, the deputies, from every corner of Russia to express their appreciation of the President’s firmness and "gathering of the Russian lands". It is difficult to suspect me of flattery, more often they blame me for straightforwardness but we address the President of the Russian Federation with the words of the deepest respect and support on behalf of many, many people. Thank you.
