Sergei Mironov at the PES Congress: "Europe does not realize that Nazis have come to power in Ukraine." 03 марта 2014 Sergei Mironov, Chairman of political party A JUST RUSSIA and the leader of the party’s Duma faction headed the delegation of A JUST RUSSIA to the Congress of the Party of European Socialists (PES) held in Rome on March 01. The Russian parliamentarian said: "Europe does not realize that it is real Nazis who have come to power in Ukraine."
"Europe does not realize that Nazis, the right extremes have really come to power in Ukraine. Now power in Ukraine belongs to the people who are armed with automatic guns. But they in Europe believe it is another Velvet Revolution: the corrupted regime of Yanukovich has fallen and the democrats who won a victory are seeking for integration with Europe." That is how Mr. Mironov estimated the European leaders’ attitude to the events in Ukraine.
However, in his opinion, real understanding of the situation in Ukraine will soon take place not only in Europe but also in the world. "It is neither Klichko nor his followers who ‘are running the show’ in Ukraine but Dmitry Yarosh – a fascist and a nationalist. His only aim is to came to power. He does not need either Klichko or Yuly Timoshenko who is also playing her own game. But the problem is that the European Union is not in need of such people like Yarosh, it has failed to realize it so far."
